What is an Autoresponder?

An autoresponder is an email account...with one major difference...It can automatically reply to any messages that it receives with a "generic" message. This "generic" message that gets bounced back to the sender can be a confirmation note, a sales letter, or simply a thank you note.

So...if ten people send a message to your autoresponder, they will all get the same "generic" message sent back to them by your autoresponder automatically.

Why do I need an Autoresponder?

Autoresponders are used to eliminate the repetitive task of replying to each individual e-mail message with the same note. It saves time and speeds up response time.

Well, if a thousand people responded to your 'free report' ad, it would take a lot of time for you to reply to all of these messages individually. This improvement in response time can help you get more orders since the prospects are hot and ready to digest all the information you send their way. On the other hand, if you had decided to reply to each e-mail requests manually, there is no way you would be able reply to each message within a few minutes.
